About A One Auto
A One Auto is an auto repair shop in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is listed at 2433 Washington Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19146, which places it among the local businesses of Philadelphia that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.
In Philadelphia, shops are busiest on Monday mornings and before holiday weekends, so a mid-week appointment gets a car seen faster. Labor rates across Pennsylvania vary by neighborhood and by shop type, from small independents to dealership service bays, and mobile mechanics now cover many routine jobs in the driveway. Before authorizing a repair, ask for the estimate in writing, whether the shop warranties parts and labor (12 months / 12,000 miles is common, some offer more), and whether it can provide a loaner or a shuttle. Check the listing for hours, the makes the shop works on and its Google rating, then call ahead, since walk-in capacity is limited at smaller shops.
The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. The most common schedule is 9 amβ6 pm. It is closed on Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach A One Auto at (215) 545-5444; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.
Customers rate it 4.4 out of 5 on Google across 172 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded auto repair shops in Philadelphia.
Philadelphia is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Philadelphia is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Pennsylvania's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Iβve heard bad things about this shop and in my time of need I see exactly what everyone was speaking of. Today my car broke down less than a block away from this shop. I had $25 cash and thought a CAR SHOP should have a portable jump. When I walked in I asked the lady at the desk and she said to give her a second. She spoke to herself in another language for about 10 second and then turned to me and told me no they wonβt come less than a block away to help. I then asked would one of your workers be willing to do it with their car and she said no our workers are busy they donβt do things like that. I donβt know if itβs because I was black or what but I have never been turned away for something as small as a jump. Not to mention she didnβt ask anyone in the shop. Itβs sad because after I got the jump I wanted to bring my car here to see if they could fix another issue but after that encounter I will never set foot on their lot and I wouldnβt ever recommend them to anyone. Lastly as I walked out the door she then said well I can ask. I said no itβs okay you already turned me away. Please let your receptionist know that my feelings were deeply hurt by this encounter and I hope she do

I had my annual safety inspection done at A One. Very friendly and easy to work with! Will definitely be coming here next year.

I dropped my car off at 9:30 AM for an inspection and oil change. After not hearing back 7 hours later, I showed up to find my car tucked away behind other cars, engine running, door wide open and radio blasting. They had no idea where or which car was mine, I had to show them and who knows how long they just left the engine running. They were confused and disorganized and frankly, completely unprofessional. Something sketchy about this place. Stay away!!!

They were very helpful in a time of emergency. They try their best to get you the cheapest price and are eager to help. Will be coming back for car maintenance services! Highly recommend them!

Took my car for an oil change and inspection. I should have know from the first red flag that they didnβt give me any sheet with any measurements from the inspection. Shortly after I noticed my skid plate wasnβt screwed back in from the oil change causing it to fall off and be destroyed beyond repair. When I brought it back they had me buy the parts to fix an issue they created. Once I got the parts and brought it in they tried to charge me for the install. Thatβs the worst customer service Iβve ever experienced from a car shop. I would AVOID this place at all costs. If I could have left negative stars I would have.
